| | Fri, Dec 3, 2004. A break from studying...sorta. | | Я смотрю уже час в ненавистный экран
Xотя здорово хочется спать.
Я читаю про Африку и про Иран
И уныло смотрю на кровать.
| | | Fri, Nov 19, 2004. Oh the Unbearable Lightness of Being | | contemplative |
| "Making love with a woman and sleeping with a woman are two separate passions, not merely different but opposite. Love does not make itself felt in the desire for copulation (a desire that extends to an infinite number of women) but in the desire for shared sleep (a desire limited to one woman)."
-"Unbearable Lightness of Being," Milan Kundera
This is one of my favorite quotes of all time.
| | | Wed, Nov 10, 2004. Deja Moo | |
| | | Mon, Nov 8, 2004. Надоело | | Мне надоело, что нельзя сказать в лицо,
А за спиной болтать согласно полу,
Что дамам нравственным положено винцо,
И что всё прочее перечит протоколу.
| | | Fri, Nov 5, 2004. Procrastination is like masturbation. In the end you are only fucking yourself. | | awake |
| | My job makes me feel as if I'm still a college student. It's 2am, I'm in the office, writing a report that should have been done this morning. This morning I was busy procrasting away in my pajamas (see my blog on procrastination), drinking tea, smoking cigarettes, and reading the news. I was hated in unison by disgruntled 9-5ers everywhere. Here's the rub though: when I talk to you on IM or on NoDream, you are likely to be at your job. You're smart. You make time go by faster by chatting with me, because you know that at 5 or 6, your workday is but a bad dream. So, at 5pm, you bid your farewell and say "Okay, outta here, going home!" Which is when I realize that I've been chatting with you this whole time on my own free time, and now my workday... | |
| | | Wed, Nov 3, 2004. Life goes on? | | | My phone is broken, so I had to bug the Verizon people for a new one today. The day is beautiful, so I figured I'd take a walk to Newport Mall. Since I had no phone in my possession, it was just me, myself, and I. And it was weird how nature is smiling today, how people are still buying clothes, how the local cafe is bustling with life. Sitting on my computer, I was so depressed about the whole election situation. It seemed as if here on NoDream, on the internet, in the midst of my heated instant messaging, time stopped and as the front page of the New York Times boldly delared Bush's victory, so were those words imprinted in our minds. Outside, the world still turns. And it was nice to get out. Encouraging. We live in a good state. Our state... | |
| | | Mon, Nov 1, 2004. Goodnight! | | Another Halloween went by
My bedroom looks like a pig sty
My face has pounds of crap on it
I bet tomorrow I'll have a zit.
It's time to take off slutty clothes
It's time to wipe my runny nose
Fake bruises also have to go
Oh, Halloween, I love you so.
