КАКАО, ЦВЕТЫ И ПИАНИНО.
Кроме того, работа в пароходстве навсегда отбила у меня симпатию к какао. Потому что в одно паршивое воскресенье, в классический шестибалльный шторм, я им вымыла палубу в столовой команды и кают-компании, и с тех пор от запаха какао меня укачивает.

awake
it was really weird being home for thanksgiving. it's almost like i saw myself living a completely different life there. here it's so hectic and busy and non-stop and i'm moving toward something approaching the speed of light and everyone around me is moving as fast as i am and it's all a blur. home was...home was...so nice and slow...to tell you the honest truth, i still can't figure out which lifestyle i like better.

House Republicans Adopt Change That Would Benefit DeLay

WASHINGTON, Nov. 17 - Fresh from election gains earlier this month, House Republicans today approved a change in party rules to prevent their majority leader, Tom DeLay, from having to step down from his leadership position should he be indicted in an investigation in Texas.

After a debate lasting two and a half hours, the Republicans voted for a new procedure under which the House party leaders would have 30 days to deliberate if one of their colleagues were indicted on a felony charge. At the end of the 30 days, the leaders would decide whether to ask the person under indictment to step aside at least temporarily.

so, it's 5 days before my anatomy exam (with 2 exams in between) and i still know nothing. well, that's not entirely true: men, while masturbating, use the aconeus muscle. as it turns out, women do not use any muscles, they use toys! other then that, i have no clue about the 80+ muscles and their nerve/artery/vein innervations. whatever. i hope that the performances this weekend by our fellow musicians went wonderfully! i'm sorry i had to be a dork and study instead.

so i haven't done much work in the past 3 weeks or so, whihc presents as a problem considering i have 3 exams next week. wed-epidimiology, thur-immunology, friday-anatomy II. it's funny b/c unlike undergrad where my preoccupation with the election would have resulted in a bad grade, now i feel this responsibility to really learn this stuff considering the fact that eventually my lack of knowledge of anatomy could have an adverse effect on someone's life...but i just can't seem to get out of this obsession with damn election. and i'm sick. and i have absolutely no desire to study. i just want to read my leftist news and bitch about the election to anyone who will listen. what the hell am i doing at penn as as md/phd student if all i seem...
